Important - When a drive is failing, we strongly recommend not using the Drive Bender "Remove" feature to remove or replace the drive.
First, make sure you do not access the pool during this procedure. Open Windows Disk Manager (right-click Computer, select Manage, from here select Disk Management), find the drive in the list of drives available on the system. Right-click the drive and select "Change Drive Letter and Paths", and add a drive letter to the drive. Now the drive can be viewed via Windows Explorer.
Next, connect the new drive and ensure you can access it, then copy all files and folders from the old drive to the new drive. After copying and ensuring all files have been transferred, disconnect the old drive and perform a pool restore as per this article.
