Drive Bender logs most operation it performs. There are a number of different log files generated, and they all reside in "C:\ProgramData\Division-M\Drive Bender\Logs"
1) Runtime logs (.sil): These are created in real-time, and log I/O operations. The level of detail generated is determined via settings, under the performance tab. Debug level outputs the mode detailed information (for more information on log levels, see - Gathering meaningful Drive Bender log files). To view these log files, there is a viewer application under the main Drive Bender folder (C:\Program Files\Division-M\Drive Bender) called "SmartInspectConsole.exe", use this application to view these log files.
Tip - You can view these log in real-time by opening the viewer, then from the Manager interface, select "Real time monitor", then "Recycle live logging connect".
2) Health Monitor Audit logs (.csv): These are created when Drive Bender performs a file system health check, and contain details of each file in the pool, including the drive they reside on. This can be viewed with a text editor, or Excel (or any other app that can read csv). Note the file name is "HealthMonitorAudit-{... Pool Id ...}-YYMMDDHHMMSS.csv"
Tip - If you lose a drive, you can determine what files were on that drive using these logs.
3) Balance Audit logs (.csv): These are created when Drive Bender performs file balancing and details what files were moved, including their source and destination drives. This can be viewed with a text editor, or Excel (or any other app that can read csv). Note the file name is "BalancingAudit-{... Pool Id ...}-YYMMDDHHMMSS.csv"
