The order in which drives are processed when cascade balancing is enabled is determined by the date in which the drives were added to the pool. You can view this order by selecting "Cascade" from the "Sort" menu.
Currently there is no official way to redefine this order via the interface, however, it is possible to do manually.
Note the following requires changes to the registry, and to the drives in the pool. If you are unsure of any of the steps, seek clarification before continuing.
1) First of all, you need to map drives letters to all the drives in the pool (see - http://support.division-m.com/entries/23179757-How-do-I-map-a-drive-letter-to-one-of-the-drive-in-the-pool-)
2) Next, stop the Drive Bender service (or kill the DriveBenderService.exe task, as sometimes it can take some time to stop).
3) Next, we need to prevent Drive Bender checking drives (i.e. for missing duplicates etc) while we are updating the pool. To do this, we need to disable the Drive Bender internal scheduler. Head to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Division-M\Drive Bender" and add a new DWORD value "Disable Scheduler" and set it to 1.
4) Now restart the Drive Bender service. From the Drive Bender Manager, we are going to remove the reference to each drive in the pool. Click on drive details option, then click "Force removal from the pool". The drive is now no long attached to the pool, however, all files and folders on the drive remain intact.
Do this for each drive in the pool until all drives have been removed.
5) Next, we need to remove the "vol" configuration file from each drive. This file is located in the root of each drive and will similar to "{771a2846-e73d-11e1-be65-806e6f6e6963}.VOL.$DRIVEBENDER" (Note - the first part of the file name will be different for each drive). Locate the file and delete it from each drive that was previously removed from the pool.
6) The next step is to re-add each drive to the pool in the order you wish them to appear. Select the drive "add" option, make sure all options in the add drive dialog are unchecked, failing to ensure all options are unchecked couple result in the drive being added incorrectly.
7) Once all drives have been added, change the registry entry "Disable Scheduler" to 0 (or delete the entry), then reboot the machine. On a restart, the drives should now be in the order you have determined.
