The host folder is the folder that contains you Cloud Xtender drive or folder content. The default location is the C drive, however, this can be changed in the Cloud Xtender setting prior to creating the cloud drive or folder.
If you have already created the cloud drive or folder, you can manually move the host folder to a new physical drive (aka drive D).
- Stop the Cloud Xtender service.
- Open Windows Explorer and change the default view to allow hidden files and folders to be seen.
- Find the Cloud Xtender host folder, this will look like CX.{12345-12345....} ("12345-12345...." is a random value), cut this folder and paste at the root of the drive you are moving to.
- Restore Windows Explorer hidden files and folders setting.
- Start the Cloud Xtender service, Cloud Xtender will pick up the new location.
