Issue - With Windows versions beyond "Creators Update" (aka Windows 1709), Microsoft has introduced a default mode that prevents legacy file system filter drivers from loading. This causes the Drive Bender drivers to be blocked from loading at boot.
Workaround - If you are running any version of Drive Bender prior to, and including v2.8, you need to manually enable the loading of the Drive Bender driver.
- Open regedit, and head to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\I/O System", create a new DWORD value called "IoBlockLegacyFsFilters" and set it to 0.
- Uninstall the Drive Bender driver (see driver re-installation)
- Reboot
- Re-install the Drive Bender driver (see driver re-installation)
The Drive Bender drivers should now be fully installed and operational.
Expected Fix - v2.8
