The process of migrating from DrivePool to PoolHD is very simple.
1) First disable duplication on the DrivePool drive, this is important because DrivePool and PoolHD use different methods of duplication.
2) Uninstall DrivePool.
3) Locate the DrivePool folder. Each drive that was in the DrivePool pool, has a base folder for that pool, it looks something like "PoolPart.5345a863-5a87-4db5-95d0-33a50e1d1e16". This folder represents the root of the pooled drive (note this folder may be hidden, change the Windows Explorer options to show hidden files if you cannot see this folder).
4) On ethe first drive, rename the pool base folder so the "PoolPart" is now "PoolHD" and the GUID is wrapped in "{" and "}". So "PoolPart.5345a863-5a87-4db5-95d0-33a50e1d1e16" would become "PoolHD.{5345a863-5a87-4db5-95d0-33a50e1d1e16}". You need to do this on each drive in the pool, using the same value for each drive (so in this example, you would change the folder name to "PoolHD.{5345a863-5a87-4db5-95d0-33a50e1d1e16}" for each drive in the pool).
5) Create a PoolHD config file called "CONFIG.$POOLHD$" and add the following (change the drive letter and drive name values to suit). This is a simply text file and can be created in any text editor.
INSTANCE=
LAST_KNOWN_DRIVE_COUNT=1
DRIVE_LETTER=Z:
DRIVE_NAME=PoolHD
6) Copy this file into the pool base folder (such as "PoolHD.{5345a863-5a87-4db5-95d0-33a50e1d1e16}") on each drive.
7) Install PoolHD (or reboot if already installed). Once reboot, you should see the migrated PoolHD pool.
